Achieving Our Goals through Partnerships

I firmly believe that there is no limit to what we can accomplish as long as we work together and find our common ground.

In my capacity as your City Council  representative and as a 23-year Ventura resident, I have had the opportunity to work with a large and varied network of local businesses, professionals, and people such as yourself. As a result, I have gained the essential skills, confidence, and strength of knowing that we can achieve our goals together, in partnership as a community.

As an advocate of community partnerships as a way to save money and make city government more effective, it is my goal to achieve the following:

Create Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) program to train the broader community to partner with our fire department during earthquake, flood, and fire emergencies.

Enable and support new and established businesses by improving communication with the city and streamlining city government policies and procedures through technology and better staff customer service.

Save money by improving energy efficiency in the city through partnerships with the County, Southern California Edison, and the Ventura County Regional Energy Alliance.

Partner with Ventura College’s Green Business Institute to foster entrepreneurship and incubation of innovative businesses.

Provide incentives for homeowners to create ocean-friendly, water-wise landscaping and install renewable energy resources and green building features in their homes.

... and more!
